*Isaac Norton joined Capt. Murphy's Company, Alabama Mounted Volunteers later called 3rd Alabama Cavalry, Company F in Perry County on 18 Nov 1861 in Marion, Perry County, Alabama at the age of 34 years.  He was enlisted by Capt. Samuel Jennings Murphy as a private for 12 months.  

*Isaac took his horse to war with him. His horse was valued at $250 and his horse equipment at $35.

He was also sometimes listed incorrectly by the name Isaac Norbu and  Isaac North.



He was listed on the following Company Muster rolls:
18 Nov to 31 Dec 1861
30 Apr to 30 June 1863
31 Oct to 31 Dec 1863
31 Oct 1864

At the close of the Civil War Isaac was in  Breckenridge Military Hospital, in
Marion, Perry county, Alabama.
He is on the hospital Muster Roll for July and August 1864
His name appears as a signature to a Parole of Prisoners of War,
sworn and subscribed to May 16, 1865 at Marion, Alabama.

At this point in time I have not located any family  for Issac.
