Jacob R. Woods
*Jacob R. Woods

*Jacob R. Woods enlisted in to Capt. Forney's Company, Floyd Bush Rangers, Alabama Vols. as a 2nd Sergent. He enrolled for duty on 6 Aug 1862 in Jacksonville, Calhoun county, Alabama, for a period of 3 years or the war.
He is on the muster roll for 24 Sept 1862

*Jacob is listed on the soldiers and sailors web site as being in Company F but that is incorrect.  Looking at his Compilied Military Service Records it is plain to see that he is in Company G.

Jacob took his horse to war with him. The value of his horse was 350 and
horse equipments $30.

I did find a Jacob Wood on the 1860 Census Alabama in Calhoun county but I am uncertain if it is this Jacob or not. The Jacob on the census was 17 years of age and the son of John Wood.
